Swatchfest: BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Palette

BH Cosmetics is a pretty well known brand with inexpensive prices. I had never bought anything from them (though I looked browsed the site quite a lot) until I saw the Galaxy Chic palette.

The packaging is made of a sturdy cardboard. On the front of the palette, it features an illustration of two galaxy chic gals. It's really cute, but I'm one for sleek and simple packaging. There's a nicely sized mirror on the inside and all of the eyeshadow shade names are listed above each one. Overall, I do like the Galaxy Chic palette's packaging.

This palette includes 18 baked eyeshadows inspired by the planets and moons of our universe. All together, there is 35.4g of product and it retails for $22.95 (but it's been on sale for $14.95 for a long while).

As always, all of the pictures were taken in natural lighting and the shadows were swatched dry on bare skin (no base or primer) with a finger. All of the shadows have really great pigmentation. I definitely wasn't disappointed by the amount of color each shadow has, but some of the colors are quite similar (like Milky Way & Cosmic). Other than that, the Galaxy Chic palette is definitely worth the price!

Some of these colors are really unique (not gonna lie, I had a hard time trying to describe a few of the shadow colors) and I'm sure that when used wet, these shadows will be even more intense! What's really cool is that every palette will be different because of the veining. I would definitely recommend picking this palette up, and for $14.95 (or even at the full price of $22.95), it's a ridiculous steal for the amount of product and the quality of the shadows.

Do you have the Galaxy Chic palette? What do you think of it? Which colors are your favorite?

    1. BH Cosmetics really did do a great job making the shadows look like their inspiration for the palette.

    1. BH Cosmetics does a lot of the 120 Eyeshadow palettes, that's how I first heard of them!

  5. Wow, that Venus shade is nuts! You don't see a lot of opaque oranges like that. Love Mercury and Mars, too!

  6. I've never tried them but now that they're is on HauteLook I keep adding the Eyes on the '60s palette to my cart every 15 minutes lol. It reminds me of Sigma's Crème de Couture palette, do you think that's accurate since you have that bad boy?

I'm tempted to get this one too just for Mercury, Mars, and Asteroid!

  7. Now that you mention it, I do see a bunch of similar colors. I would totally go for it if you missed the Creme de Couture palette! (Honestly, if I had the money, I would buy the Eyes on the 60's palette anyway because there's more range and you can't beat the price) I say grab them both, but check out the BH Cosmetics site because if you don't want the "extras" on Hautelook, you might be able to save some money!
